Dell uses Intel because of kickback surprise!

I’ve never been a fan of Dell, primarily for the purely personal reason that, since they released the K6 processor, AMD have been pushing Intel all the way, yet Dell refuse to use AMD CPU’s.

Why? Well, yesterday The Inquirer told us The real reasons why .
Shock horror, it’s because Dell get a nice fat discount on buying Intel processors, all the fatter because they ONLY use Intel processors.

OK, so it acts as a kind of rebuttable to the comments in another article by Dell CEO Kevin Rollins, which suggested it was more lack of consumer demand, than nice big kickbacks from Intel. But really, was anyone under any impression that Dell’s choice of being Intel only was about much else other than money? I hardly think it’s a ground breaking discovery.
