Changing yet again…..

Wordpress has been upgraded, and now includes funky CMS for normal ‘pages’.

Sounds quite a funky useful thing, so I wiped the site to start from scratch, using the blog as the main site, and entering the various articles I got round to into the pages CMS thingy.

So, lots of things are in a state of flux, and I haven’t done much of the copying in old articles yet, so lots of stuff is broken.

Please bear with me while I sort the styling of the site out and get them all back up and running, with appropriate 301 redirects for the old article urls!

as I started from scrath, rather than upgrading Wordpress, I’m using a new database which I’ve imported the RSS feed from the old version into. My hosts seem to have cocked up the database admin and I couldn’t actually get in to administer any of my previous databases, though it works ok with a new one! Go figure.

The upshot of it is, not all the posts have been imported, because the RSS feed doesn’t contain them all (forgot about that!) and though I have the comments in another feed for those posts, I can’t see a way of automatically importing them. So I’ll see about re-adding some of them manually from the XML file I’ve got.

Cheers

[update]Of course, it’s more broken than I was hoping, the RSS feeds from the old blog were only partial, and again, I forgot, doh. Well, only thing is, the old database is still there, and though I can’t administer it with phpmyadmin, I guess I can work out getting to the data somehow, with some of my own PHP scripts or something. Ah well.[/update]
