BT trialing 8mbps Broadband

After just upgrading 512kbps lines to 2mbps lines recently (and it being gradually cascaded through the various ISP’s), BT are about to launch trials of 8mbps DSL.

Interesting that doesn’t mention what type of DSL. 8mbps ADSL would only be useful depending on the upload speed. It’s already annoying having 2mbps download, but only 256kbps upload. Especially in a business environment where we have remote users connecting in and accessing things. But SDSL is a hell of a lot more expensive.

8mbps down, and say 2mbps up would be quite useful. Or a nice drop in SDSL prices!
