UK EduBlogger Directoy
I follow a few education related blogs, one of which is EdTechUK by Josie Fraser.
A couple of days ago Josie said she was building up a list of UK based EduBloggers and asked if anyone had some wiki space going spare. It just so happens I have, and it was sat there not really doing much. So I offered it up, and you can now see the beginnings of a Directory of UK based (and ex-pat) EduBloggers.
If anyone knows of any, or if you have one of your own, feel free to add them on there, it’s a wiki, so free access to edit it. I’ve got a couple more I can probably add on, but I’d certainly be interested to see what else is out there from a UK point of view.
Hopefully it will be a ncie little project that some people will find useful. I’m going to see about customising it a bit, and making it look a little more individual. Make it more obvious as to what it is!
I may even be tempted into listing some other types of UK blogs if there’s some interest. No point in reinventing somethign that’s already availible elsewhere though.
I feel I also need to add in a bit of a disclaimer.
As some will know, I work for a company which sells Educational Software primarily to the UK school market (though we also sell to other people all over the world). This site, and therefore the Wiki hosted on it are my own, and completely unrelated to my work. I’ve had the Camaban domain for a few years now, while I’ve been working in this company for a bit under 2. There’s no conflict of interests, I won’t start advertising my work place on the wiki or anything, I just have some interest in the blogs, and like the idea of helping someone out like this. My last job was as an ICT Technician for the County Council, supporting schools machines with particular emphasis on Special Needs computing equipment. From there some interests took hold, to the extent that I still follow an email newsgroup centered around SEN IT and have become a big advocate of accessibility in web design.
Now, get adding those blogs!
