Opera + Delicious awesomeness

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

It took me some time to get into Delicious, I never really saw the pull of it. I could never be bothered to copy a URL, goto the site, login, and post it.
That was until I found something that smooths the whole process out. I am an Opera user, and unless it [...]

Overtime and flase economies

Monday, July 23rd, 2007

Just picked up on an excellent blog post via Reddit (some non-political stuff does still appear on there).
Deadlines, Overtime and Undertime talks about what happens to productivity when people work longer hours in an attempt to get a project finished for a tight, unreasonable deadline.
More code bugs, more sick days, lower morale, unimpressed client, reduced long [...]

A couple of days ago Josie said she was building up a list of UK based EduBloggers and asked if anyone had some wiki space going spare. It just so happens I have, and it was sat there [...]

Write a virus, get a slap on the wrists…..

Monday, July 11th, 2005

Well, that’s about all that happened to Sven Jaschan, the guy behind the Sasser and Netsky viruses.
Despite the proliferance of the worms, and amount of time and money it cost a lot of people, he’s been given an 21 month suspended jail sentence and 30hrs of community service.
Wow, I bet he regrets doing that [...]

Just what friends are for…

Thursday, July 7th, 2005

A friend, who’s the same age as me (well, about 6 months younger, not EXACTLY the same age) has just informed me that when the Olympics come to London (well done London by the way), I’ll be 30, and not far off 31.
What a wonderful thought Suddenly I’m not looking forward to them [...]
